Did You Know...
The first vending machines (as we know them today) were made in England in the 1880s for postcards. But before this, there were machines in the 1600s in England that accepted coins for tobacco, ones for postage stamps, and even one in 1822 that shared banned books disguised as a newspaper vending machine.
